This item fits the following, XR250 1996 to 2004 XR400 1996 to 2004 Each Image is a Pre Cut Sticker Fits XR250 XR400 1996 On...... This is a heavy duty vinyl, with 'breather' holes. Two tank stickers, one each side. THERE ARE VARIATIONS IN THE COLOURS ON THE STICKER - THE FLASHES ABOVE THE XR ARE DARK RED, NOT BLACK Pre Cut with breather holes to help let the petrol fumes escape - sticker will not peel as quickly...... How to Apply a Sticker kit (instructions supplied with every kit) Painters tape Fresh Box cutter or razor blade Scissors Hair dryer or heat gun Methylated Spirits or Contact Cleaner Clean rag Squeegee (bank card works) 5% Soapy water Safety Pin PATIENCE STEP 1 CLEAN YOUR BIKE and HANDS: For best results, you will need to start with a clean bike and hands. Grease, silicone spray and dirt will all cause you problems so a clean bike and hands are essential. STEP 2 EMPTY YOUR TANK: Fuel vapor will destroy the stickers so empty your tank and let it air out for 24hrs before applying stickers. STEP 3 SURFACE PREPARATION: Remove old graphics. Start at one edge and heat up the old stickers with the hair dryer or heat gun. They donât need to be hot just warm so that the glue comes off easily with the sticker. There will be some glue left on the plastics. Use your contact cleaner or Metho and a rag to clean it off. DO NOT use ACETONE, PREPSOL, SEPTONE or other solvent non-alcohol based cleaners. THEY WILL ruin your stickers after a couple of days. Make sure the plastics are completely clean. If you have scratches and scraps use your box cutter or razor blade to cut off any âdagsâ that will make the sticker bulge. STEP 3 APPLYING THE STICKERS: Front number plates are a good start. Cut the stickers out and align them correctly on the plastics. Use your painters tape to hold them into place. Peel off the backing paper in one corner and touch the sticker to hold it into place. Peel off the backing and press down the sticker using your thumb, squeegee or bank card to remove all bubbles, use the safety pin to pop if needed. Dip your finger in the soapy water to help it slide over the top of the sticker if needed. Work your way from one end to the next peeling and sticking until complete. Wait 24hrs before riding and putting fuel in so it has time to stick.
